Azucena Espiritu, Resident in Counseling

Azucena Espiritu (License # 0704016805) is a Resident in Counseling, who uses a culturally informed, person-centered approach, integrating Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness practices, and a holistic model.

She has experience working with individuals facing trauma, anxiety, mood disorders, grief, and challenges related to immigration. Azucena welcomes LGBTQ+ clients. She is dedicated to bridging the gap in mental health services for marginalized communities and supporting and empowering clients in their personal growth. 

Azucena holds a Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Gender, Sexuality, & Women’s Studies, both from the University of Rochester.

She speaks Spanish and works with clients ages 10 to adult and is available for sessions both in-person and online.
